Situation:

Constructed and supported by Providence, one of the nation’s largest health systems, Tegria creates next-generation technology and services coupled with deep implementation and integration capabilities to help organizations transform healthcare delivery and improve wellbeing for the people they serve. ​As opposed to the legacy not-for-profit business from which it came, this enterprise is a for-profit portfolio company that required clarity and distinction to be successful.

Challenge:

With healthcare delivery organizations seeking new forms of revenue while simultaneously leveraging innovations and big ideas that were born from and tested within, Providence needed a new business entity to house this growing part of the enterprise. The challenge was to create something with the substance and potential for impact that reflected the scale of potential that Providence’s innovations could represent. Further, we were challenged to create the appropriate amount of distance from the “origin” brand in order to ensure that this organization could stand on its own two feet.
